The Sea of Tomorrow Scholarship Society Offers Financial Assistance

In its quest to promote environmental conservation and the protection of marine wildlife, Beneath the Sea^®, Inc. created the Sea of Tomorrow Society Scholarship Program. These scholarships are offered annually to encourage youth through young adults to expand their knowledge and research hours in a variety of fields, including marine conservation, marine biology, underwater photography, underwater archaeology and many more. Some scholarships focus on specific areas of studies, while others provide the applicants with the opportunity to identify the areas they wish to study.

For scholarships used for education programs, funds will be provided directly to the training facility upon receipt of an invoice from that facility. For research projects requiring specific equipment and materials, funds will be provided upon receipt of a paid invoice from the supplier.

Training Grants provide funding for diving and related underwater training. Some grant sponsors require that the recipient take the training at a specified facility. Other grants allow the recipient to take the training at a recognized/authorized facility in the United States. Funds will be paid to the selected facility upon receipt of an invoice from that facility.

Applications and deadline details will be posted on the BeneaththeSea.us website in September 2023.

IMPORTANT

• Applications and two letters of recommendation must be submitted by the deadline date. Late submissions will not be eligible.
• You may only apply for one scholarship or training grant.
• Each scholarship or grant has an age range. Applicant must be within that range at time of application submission.
