Scuba Experiences
Imagine what it’s like to slip below the surface and continue breathing while you float weightlessly underwater! Our Scuba Experience is designed for youth 12 - 18 as an introductory scuba program. The Scuba Experience is designed to simply introduce youth to scuba diving in a pool. Once youth complete the pool water training, they will have the opportunity to continue their adventure in the various scuba programs of the Curious Minds Dive Foundation.

Learn To Dive Program
Summer 2023 Scuba Certification Camp
Begin your underwater explorations by enrolling in an open water scuba class. This is our entry-level certification course where you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills to safety dive in open water. Includes pool sessions, equipment for pool session, e-learning and review sessions. Working with Camp Conestoga we offer a day and residential camp for youth 12 - 18 to become certified divers!
Camp 1: Murrysville (Day Camp)

Details: Camp runs 8:30 to 12:30 M-F
Participants will earn a NAUI Open Water Certification and must pass all requirements. Class consists of e-learning prior to camp, classroom training, hands on pool training, and off-site Diving at Blue Hole Quarry near Hollidaysburg, PA.
Camp 2: Camp Conestoga (Residential Camp)
Dates: June 30 - July 6, 2024
Location: Camp Conestoga, 255 Conestoga Camp Rd, Somerset, PA 15501
Cost: $625
Details: Participants will earn a NAUI Open Water Certification and Scuba Diving Merit Badge, if they are a scout, they must pass all requirements. Class consists of e-learning prior to camp, classroom training, hands on pool training, and off-site Diving at Blue Hole Quarry near Hollidaysburg, PA. Camp will start promptly after check-in; participants will camp at the Guyasuta tent campsite beside the Pool and conclude Friday evening. Food, lodging and transportation to training divers are all included. Additional items to bring will be communication prior to camp once registration has been completed.
